Supporting: Help us get solar to 109 schools in Haiti for Brighten Haiti
Campaign has ended.
This Giving Season, I am raising money for a brilliant organization who is getting solar and computer labs to 109 schools in Haiti that don't have electricity. Amazingly enough, this will dramatically improve the education for 54,500 kids who live in poverty.
70% of schools in Haiti don't have basic electricity. Imagine for a moment, sending your kids to a school without electricity.
We know, education is the greatest weapon against poverty. In Haiti's case it is extreme poverty. Brighten Haiti has the audacious goal of getting solar energy and computer labs to 109 schools this year.
It will be the single largest deployment of solar4schools in Haiti's history. We have the solar panels and inverters ready to go. The Brighten Haiti Solar Apprentices started their training during one of the most tumultuous times in Haiti's history.
You to be part of this monumental effort of electrifying education and training a generation of young women and men to install solar and one day have their own solar business or work with others doing solar.
* Last year artist, Timothy W. Webb created a Holiday Music Single in Tin Can Music Studio. The song, "Joy to the Island People" is available online at https://timothywwebb.hearnow.com/joy-to-the-island-people or a "stocking stuffer" Holiday CD can be purchased through tincanmusic.studio. Proceeds will go directly to Brighten Haiti's Solar4Schools campaign. "I have been a musician since I was a teenager, and in the solar industry since 2010, so this cause is very special to me. Thank you for your support!"
